Effects of Training to Improve Novice Nurses’ Sense of Coherence

Background: Our previous research concerned the relation between Sense of Coherence, workplace stress, and burnout for nurses in their first three years work. We found that psychological state months on job was particularly critical to success retention. As stress increased over years, Coherence declined, increased. Follow-up interviews after five revealed importance identifying role models early feeling own growth responses patients. Based these findings, 2015 we instituted a program improve new nurses’ Coherence. The present evaluate effectiveness this training program. Purpose: purpose study raising Method: From June March 2017, surveyed 137 who completed our program, comparing them cohort 960 whom had studied 2010-11 without such analyzed using SPSS Version 24.0, taking probability less than 5% be significant.
